UFC 169 may be headlined by two title fights, but their are other monumental bouts on the card too. Heavyweights, Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem, will battle in a ‘loser leaves the UFC’ bout. With both men’s recent stretch of losses, Dana White has basically said that whoever loses this fight will be cut from the organization. Mir, the former UFC Heavyweight champion, has lost three in a row while Alistair Overeem had been violently KO’ed in his last two bouts.

Overeem changed everything in his training leading up to this bout. He left the Blackzilians camp, moved to Thailand to train, and focused more heavily on his kickboxing. In a recent video, courtesy of WHOATV, Overeem is seen training with legendary kickboxer, Gokhan Saki.

Saki is 79-16-1 in his professional kickboxing career. Saki and Overeem have fought in kickboxing once before, where Overeem defeated Saki by TKO due to an injury to Saki’s arm. It will be interesting to see if the elite level version of Overeem’s kickboxing comes to fight on Saturday night.
