WWE’s CM Punk

The Road to WrestleMania officially began after the WWE Royal Rumble pay per view on Sunday. The next couple months for the WWE are huge, as they’re preparing themselves for the biggest sports entertainment show on the planet. While they scramble to figure out who will be on the card, it looks like they may be having themselves a show that won’t involve former WWE and World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

Right now the WWE Universe and social media networks are blowing up over news of CM Punk supposedly telling Vince McMahon that he was going home after the Royal Rumble event was over. I figured he would have something to say to Kane after being eliminated, but Punk never showed up and now we know why. According to CageSideSeats.com, Punk has been removed from all WWE shows from here on. At least until we figure out what’s going on.

I know his contract was set to expire in July, but I’m sure Punk is frustrated with how things were going. It’s a shame that the company allowed things to get this far, considering how talented this man is in and out of the ring. It doesn’t matter if he’s putting on a match, or holding a microphone in his hand, he’s still one of the best if not the best on the entire roster. Not taking anything away from Daniel Bryan.

If CM Punk is officially done with the company, it will be a huge blow and set back. With the WWE Elimination Chamber coming up, they will have to try to see who they can squeeze into the six man main event. And I’m sure fans who attend live shows from here on out will continue to chant Punk’s name in honor of the great professional wrestler. Didn’t mean to make that sound like he passed away, but he’s a huge part of the reason why I continue to tune in every time this company is on television.

We all knew Punk was going to have to call it quits sooner or later, but none of us expected it to happen this soon. Right now his departure from the company hasn’t been confirmed, but it’s still not a great sign. Get things together WWE before you drive out more talent.
