The Denver Broncos were shut out for nearly three entire quarters. The Seattle Seahawks got out to a 36-0 lead and kept the Broncos and Peyton Manning out of the end zone for most of the game.

It was somewhat surprising considering that the Broncos had the No. 1 offense in the NFL this past season. Peyton Manning completed a touchdown pass to Demaryius Thomas to finally get the Broncos on the board. They went for a two-point conversion and threw a short pass to Wes Welker who ran into the end zone to get the two points.

That narrowed the lead to 36-8, but the game was basically out of reach.
