The Seattle Seahawks are focused on winning a Super Bowl at the moment, but that doesn’t mean they’re not away of what lies ahead this offseason. The team got to the Super Bowl thanks the the Legion of Boom and that legion was led by Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported earlier on Sunday that the Seahawks top priority is the give Thomas a contract extension.

Thomas is easily the best safety in football thanks the the hardcore style in which he plays his position. Teams are starting to model their own safety play after Thomas and are looking for players which his specifications. The Seahawks don’t have to look far to find a guy like Earl Thomas as they have the Jango Fett all the other NFL teams are trying to clone.

Getting Thomas an extension is a no brainer, but the price tag of said extension could start to cause problems for Seattle when it comes to keeping this Super Bowl team intact.
