New York Knicks’ head coach Mike Woodson told reporters big man Amar’e Stoudemire would be a “regular part” of the Knicks’ rotation.

Stoudemire is averaging just 18.9 minutes per and is putting his lack of time on Woodson.

“From a doctor’s standpoint, there hasn’t been limitations since the first week of the season,” Stoudemire said when asked if he wanted to throw out any minutes limitations in an effort to help the New York Knicks make the playoffs via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN New York. “So we can’t keep saying limitations — that’s a coach’s decision at the end of the day.

“I feel great,” he continued. “I am ready to play. But it’s up to him if he wants to play me or not.”

Stoudemire has been bothered by an ankle injuries and has suffered several other serious injuries throughout his 11-year career, which is why the Knicks have tried to limit his minutes. However, with the team sitting at 19-29, it may be time to give Stoudemire more minutes.

Stoudemire is averaging 9.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
