Even with all of the quarterback talk, there is still a chance that the Houston Texans will take South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the number one overall pick in this May’s NFL Draft. With the Combine and private workouts still left to go, Clowney can blow all the scouts away just enough with his freakish athletic abilities to make him the consensus top pick once again.

Should this happen and the Texans choose Clowney, the most intriguing part would be the fact that the top prospect at the defensive end position would be playing opposite the man who is probably the best at that position in the league at the moment, J.J. Watt.

Pairing those two together would be a nightmare for opposing offenses as they days of just keying on Watt would be over, and Clowney realizes that being put on the same line as Watt would be beneficial to both of them.

"“I love his game,” Clowney said of Watt. “He can help me, and I can help him, hopefully. I’ve watched his game, in situations he gets double teams, triple teams on him, too. That could help me be a bigger factor on that defense.”"

Having to worry about both Clowney and Watt coming after you would probably make most quarterbacks think about an early retirement.
