Things are starting to get desperate in New York with the Knicks, as a recent home loss to the Sacramento Kings has once again reminded fans and management that some sort of change is needed. Whether that be the firing of Mike Woodson, a trade or possibly even both, is up for debate.

With the trade deadline rapidly approaching though, the Knicks seem to be looking at what they can do on the market and they could be active. Al Iannazzone of Newsday speculates that New York very well could make everyone expect Carmelo Anthony available in a trade this upcoming week.

Making everyone available would make sense, as the team really only cares about bringing back Carmelo Anthony. Iannazzone also states that it’s likely that Mike Woodson could have coached his last game with the Knicks, which would mean his firing could bring the change New York is looking for.

Either way, something needs to happen as the situation is growing toxic and that’s one way to ensure Carmelo won’t be back in 2014-15.
