There was a lot of debate heading into the 2013 season about who would be the Denver Broncos featured running back and that job fell on the shoulders of Knowshon Moreno. He got 241 carries and rushed for 1,038 yards while scoring 10 touchdowns.

His back up Montee Ball, who is heading into his second season in the NFL, has said that he wants to be the team’s featured back next year. That is a possibility since Moreno is a free agent and could not return to the team, and Montee Ball put up similar numbers carrying the ball 120 times for 559 yards.

“Of course, obviously I have no idea what’s going to happen with him and this organization, but I do want to be a starter, and yeah, I want the football every time,” Ball said, via Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post. “I think I’m going to have a great offseason, and I’m going to have a better season next year for sure.”
