The NBA All-Star Weekend is officially here, and Grant Hill is in New Orleans to help kick off the festivities. Hill is the coach of one of the BBVA Rising Stars teams, but he has more to say than just comments about his roster of future stars. Hill commented on the future of a current star, stating he believes Carmelo Anthony is playing his last season with the New York Knicks.

Hill didn’t definitively say that Melo is going to leave, but noted that the unimpressive season and the severe regression may turn him off.

Per  Justin Terranova of the New York Post:

"“I think it could. He’s getting older and you want to be in a situation where you are going to win. And he came to New York, he got in the playoffs and now it’s almost like they are regressing. To go through a potential season with no playoff opportunity, it could play a role.”"

Grant Hill isn’t an insider, but he knows the culture of a locker room — both winning and losing — and the effect it has on a player. Melo may want to stay in New York, but losing does have an adverse reaction on even the most loyal of players.
