There has been a lot of debate among which of the top three quarterbacks in this year’s draft will go first. Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles is heading into the Scouting Combine looking to accomplish some goals. That is to finish above-average in every statistical category.

“I’m not the fastest guy or I won’t jump the highest or the furthest or any of that. But I’ve got that sheet . . .  and my goal is to be above that [average] in every single category,” Bortles told Paul Tenorio of the Orlando Sentinel.

With so much potentially riding on his performance in the combine, Bortles says he is enjoying the process.

“I am trying to enjoy the journey day-by-day,” Bortles said. “I’m going to get prepared as well as I can so I don’t look back and say, ‘I wish I could’ve done this better or that better.’ I won’t be doing that on draft day.”
