Sochi Olympics men’s hockey bracket: Quarterfinals set

After the medal round began on Day 11 of the 2014 Winter Olympics and four teams watched their hopes of a gold medal in the Sochi Games come to an end, the quarterfinals for the men’s hockey tournament have been set.

The action kicks off bright and early on Wednesday morning with a meeting between Sweden and Slovenia, before Finland takes on host nation Russia later in the day.

On Thursday, the quarterfinal round will match up with Canada taking on Latvia and the United States facing the Czech Republic in games that will be taking place simultaneously as the quarterfinals wrap up.

The gold medal game will take place on Feb. 23 at 7 a.m. ET, with live coverage throughout the medal round available on NBC Olympics Live Extra.
