We are just five days away from the official launch of one of the most ambitious efforts ever put forth by the WWE, the launch of the WWE Network. The WWE announced yesterday that starting on Monday; fans throughout the WWE Universe will be able to begin a free one week trial of the new WWE Network.

For one week only, fans in the WWE Universe will be able to experience all the incredible content that the WWE has compiled for the launch. The WWE boasts over 1,000 hours of original programming; everything from past episodes of WWE Monday Night Raw and WWE SmackDown to episodes of groundbreaking original series like WWE Countdown, WrestleMania Rewind, and even the upcoming reality series Legends House.

I think the biggest selling point of the entire package is the access to every single pay-per-view events that the WWE puts on throughout the year. If you were to order each of the twelve pay-per-views, which includes the grand spectacular known as WrestleMania, from your cable or satellite provider it would run you upside of $600. The WWE network on the other hand is only $9.99 a month, which comes out to a total of $119.98.

Unless my math skills are incredibly rusty, that is a savings of just over $480 a year. If you plan to order more than two WWE pay-per-views a year, ordering the WWE Network will be a much less expensive option for you.

The WWE Network will be available to the WWE Universe on your computer at WWE.com, through the WWE app on your favorite Android and iOS devices, Roku, Sony’s PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 systems, and Xbox 360. They plan to expand to select Smart TVs and the XBox One by summer.

Still not convinced? Well, starting on Monday you will have one week to test out the system for free and see if you change your mind. However, as a wrestling fan myself, I can’t think of any better way to delve deeper into the expansive catalog that the WWE has at their disposal. I know I have my credit card at the ready.

The WWE Network officially launches at 11:06 p.m. on Monday, February 24th following WWE Monday Night Raw.
