If Glen “Big Baby” Davis agreed to a buyout with the Orlando Magic, which will become official Friday morning, in order to join a contender, it appears he is in luck.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports already reported the Los Angeles Clippers, who had no luck acquiring a big man before Thursday’s trade deadline, are very interested in Davis.

Wojnarowski and Yahoo Sports colleague Marc J. Spears also list the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs as other teams expected to pursue Davis, per league sources.

All of these teams were in the postseason last year and should return this season.

The Clippers and Nets are both very interesting potential destinations.

Davis’ coach when he was with the Boston Celtics was Doc Rivers, the current coach of the Clippers.

The two team leaders of the Celtics when Davis played in Boston were Nets’ swingman Paul Pierce and big man Kevin Garnett.

Davis, Pierce, Garnett and Rivers made two NBA Finals appearances together, winning the title in 2008.

Davis is averaging 12.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game this season
