The NFL Scouting Combine is going on in Indianapolis this weekend and the day has arrived where the quarterbacks will begin to do some work for the scouts and coaches in attendance. One of the most looked at stats for a quarterback prospect his his 40-yard dash time, especially if he’s being billed as a mobile quarterback.

Johnny Manziel, Tajh Boyd and all of the quarterbacks at the Combine rant heir 40-yard dashes on Sunday and it was not surprising to see Johnny Football lead the pack with the fastest time.

A 40-time won’t make or break a quarterback prospect, but it could end up being a factor in a where quarterbacks are prioritized. Manziel was supposed to be fast and he didn’t hurt his time with a decent 40-yard dash on Sunday.

For full disclosure though, Manziel’s official time was 4.68, a less impressive and under-reported number within this argument.
