“Swaggy P” made a triumphant return to the lineup for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, but it appears as if Nick Young still isn’t ready to resume a regular workload for the struggling franchise.

Multiple outlets including Dave McMenamin of ESPN Los Angeles are reporting that Young announced on Tuesday that he will be unavailable during the team’s upcoming 2-game road trip as a result of a knee injury. The Lakers are set to take on the Pacers on Tuesday and the Grizzlies on Wednesday, which already seems like a nightmare for a 19-37 team, but doing it without one of their most prolific scorers is even worse.

Young played 20 minutes and scored 10 points against the Nets on Sunday, but prior to that, the 28-year-old swingman missed 6 games because of the knee, and this is troublesome. On the “bright” side, LA’s offense hasn’t been the biggest problem this season (and that is where Young would help the most), but with the team spiraling out of control, any available talent would be huge for Mike D’Antoni, and this an undeniable loss.

Look for a lot of Kent Bazemore, MarShon Brooks, and Jodie Meeks over the next two days. Get your popcorn ready.
