The Oakland Raiders are thinking about who they want to bring back in 2014 and who will remain on the free agent market this March. One player is veteran defensive back and Super Bowl champion Charles Woodson, who is nearing the end of his career.

Woodson’s career may be ending sooner than we expect, as he recently told SiriusXM Radio that if he isn’t offered a decent contract his offseason, he’s going to call it a career.

Per Vic Tafur:

"“If the right numbers don’t come across, for myself and from the team’s standpoint, then it is a serious consideration at this point that I could have played my last season in the NFL,” Woodson told SiriusXM NFL Radio.  “So that’s definitely something that I think about. I do plan on playing another year. Hopefully something can get done with the Raiders but if not then I’ve got to take a real hard look at this last year being the last one.”"

Woodson isn’t a young man anymore, but he’s stills serviceable as a veteran talent. He may not get the offers he wants to hear though, which means we could have seen the future Hall of Famer play his last down in the NFL.
