After getting blown out in this past February’s Super Bowl by the Seattle Seahawks, there are a lot of people who would love to see Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning return in 2014 and chase that second ring once again. However, as we all know, after missing the entire 2011 season following neck surgery, Manning playing every season depends upon the outcome of a thorough exam, which Pro Football Talk reports will take place on Monday.

According to the report, ESPN is reporting that Manning will be checked out on Monday, and all is expected to go rather well.

"Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports that this year’s exam, which is part of Manning’s contract with the Broncos, is on Monday. The expectation is that Manning will again get a clean bill of health as he has already passed his exit physical from team doctors and had no issues with the neck during the season."

Manning made it quite clear following the disappointing Super Bowl loss–and even at some times before–that he has every intention to come back in 2014. A good outing with the doctors would all but confirm his return.
