St. Louis Rams offensive guard Shelley Smith is set to hit the open market when the NFL Free Agency period officially begins on Tuesday. While the Rams have not shown any interest in re-signing Smith, he has generated plenty of interest during the league’s negotiation period.

According to the St Louis Post-Dispatch,  four teams expressed interest in the free agent guard over the weekend.

Smith, who excels at run blocking, started eight games and appeared in 25 for the Rams throughout the past two seasons. For a team that runs the zone-blocking scheme, adding Smith to their roster during free agency would boost their offensive front.
