The NFL free agency market is set to officially open on Tuesday afternoon, but the St. Louis Rams are already learning some news regarding one of their to free agent players. According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post Dispatch, offensive lineman Rodger Saffold has told the team that he will be heading elsewhere.

Saffold has been receiving plenty of interest since the negotiating period leading up to free agency began, so it really comes as no surprise that his price has become too expensive for the Rams to afford.

With Saffold telling the Rams that he will be leaving the team, all eyes are on the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders, who are going to lose offensive tackle Jared Veldheer on the open market, are reportedly expected to sign Saffold for “around $8 million per year.”
