If the Patriots have anything to say about it, WR Julian Edelman will not hit free agency.

The team is said to be making a strong push to sign the 27 year old WR before he can field other offers according to MassLive.com:

"The Patriots are making a strong push to retain the wide receiver entering the final 24 hours of the legal tampering period. If a deal is not reached first, Edelman will be free to sign with another team beginning Tuesday at 4 p.m."

Last year Edelman was the Patriots most consistent WR playing in all 16 games and grabbing 105 receptions for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns.
