Shortly after the NFL negotiating period opened, it appeared that the Baltimore Ravens were going to lose starting offensive tackle Eugene Monroe when the market officially opened on Tuesday afternoon.

However, things can change quickly in today’s NFL and the Ravens are now once again the favorite to sign the left tackle.

According to the NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala, the “buzz from inside Ravens headquarters” is that the team is “very close” to re-signing Monroe to a long-term contract.

While the two sides still appear to have some work to do, they will have until 4 p.m. ET to sort out all of the details and get a contract lined up that will make both sides extremely happy.
