Free agent wide receiver Julian Edelman has received a lot of attention so far in free agency.

The Cleveland Browns are said to be very interested and Edelman is scheduled to take a visit to meet with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday.

The Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants are also said to be interested.

According to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee, the New England Patriots are aggressively trying to keep Edelman.

Although it is tough to envision Edelman having the production he had in New England elsewhere, the Patriots rarely win a battle when money is the main issue.

Edelman was selected with the 232nd overall pick in the seventh round the 2009 draft by the Patriots after playing quarterback at Kent State.

Edelman has been very productive as a wide receiver and has even played defensive back when need be.

Last season, Edelman had 105 catches for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns.
