The Jacksonville Jaguars go another Justin Blackmon scare on Saturday when the former first-round pick was involved in a single-car accident in Jacksonville. According to the Florida Times-Union, Florida State Patrol responded to an accident that ended up being Justin Blackmon’s vehicle on I-295 in Jacksonville.

Per the Times-Union, alcohol was to involved and Blackmon was wearing his seatbelt.

"The Florida Highway Patrol report said Blackmon was not injured, was wearing a seat belt and alcohol was not involved. … The report said Blackmon’s 2009 Denali was traveling south on I-295 when the right rear tire blew out – the car left the road and collided into a guard-rail."

While hearing Blackmon’s name surface yet again with a traffic incident, this one is actually far more positive than any of his previous two. He has twice been suspended for substance abuse, as he’s a repeat offender when it comes to DUIs.

This time though, Blackmon had not been drinking, was being responsible and wearing his seatbelt, and the accident was caused by a blown tire. It’s possible that Blackmon was speeding, but the fact that he wasn’t drunk this time is both relieving and a sad thing we have to be happy about.
