The free gent market for future Hall of Fame kick returner Devin Hester hasn’t been as hot as his kick returns usually are, but it appears that after almost a week of being a free agent, there is a team reaching out to sign him.

While no contract has been discussed — at least publicly — the Miami Dolphins have reportedly reached out to Hester’s agent about signing his client.

There was reported interest from the Dolphins earlier in the offseason after it became known that the Chicago Bears would not be bringing Hester back. Other teams interested like the Eagles, Buccaneers, Giants and Chiefs have apparently lost interest, but the Dolphins look to be swooping in for the grab.

Nothing is imminent, but if there is mutual interest between the Dolphins and Hester, which there seems to be, then a deal could be hammered out by the end of the weekend.
