After the events of Saturday, the Carolina Panthers–QB Cam Newton in particular–are in desperate need of some help in the wide receiver department. After Brandon Lafell decided to take his talents to the New England Patriots, there’s basically nothing left.

But, as Josina Anderson is reporting, free agent wide receiver James Jones would be more than happy to help them out with this dilemma, as he expressed that he would love to play with Newton and the Panthers.

While he might not be a blockbuster signing by any means, Jones could certainly help out in at least some way to kind of do some damage control in Carolina.

Last season for the Green Bay Packers, Jones caught 54 passes for 817 yards in helping the team get to the playoffs just barely.

Carolina might want to take Jones up on this offer, because with the signing of Emmanuel Sanders by the Broncos earlier on Sunday, the options right now are scarce.
