NFL Free Agency Rumors: Jared Allen unlikely to sign with Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys finally received some good news this off-season by landing defensive tackle Henry Melton on Monday night. Unfortunately for them, it doesn’t sound like there is a lot more good news on the way.
Free agent defensive end Jared Allen left town without a contract, and according to Mike Garafulo of Fox Sports a deal between the two sides is not likely to happen.

With the rest of his pass rushing colleagues already signed to generous deals, Allen is reportedly willing to retire if he does not find a deal to his liking. It sounds like he didn’t find it in Dallas, leaving the Seattle Seahawks as the primary landing spot left. Otherwise, an NFL without Allen might actually have a small chance of coming true.
