Duke freshman Jabari Parker burst on to the scene in a big way this season, solidifying himself as one of the top players in the country, and a possible NBA Lottery pick. That has been the question all season. Will Parker be a one-and-done and head off to the NBA?

Well, after the team’s horrible loss to the Mercer Bears in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament, Parker had some interesting comments for ESPN’s Andy Katz, which may have shed some light on his future:

Of course, comments like this could stem from pure emotion, as I’m sure Parker did not believe that he and his Duke teammates would be ousted from the even this early.

Still, though, star freshman returning isn’t unprecedented, and you only have to look as far as Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart for proof of that. Plus, there were some reports immediately following the upset that some NBA scouts were left with a bad taste in their mouth in regards to Parker’s defensive efforts.

There’s no telling when Parker will make his decision on his future, but it can definitely go either way.
