The Detroit Lions till need to figure out their backup quarterback situation and it appears they may have found the answer. After looking at the free agent market for another backup, the Lions seem ready to bring back Shaun Hill.

According to Dave Birkett, the Lions and Hill appear set to mutually reunite after both tested the market and came up dry.

The Lions have really had no other reliable backup like Hill and having him back also brings back continuity for Matthew Stafford. Not only has Hill stepping for Stafford when needed, but he’s provided another mind to bounce things off of on the sideline and in the film room.

It’s not a done deal, but bringing Hill back is a smart move for Lions and possibly the only one for either party.
