The Tennessee Titans have made no secret about their desire to get rid of running back Chris Johnson and after months of teetering on the brink, it appears that something is finally going to happen soon.
Reports of Johnson’s impending release have been around for weeks but we may actually see some movement. According to Chris Wesseling, the Titans are expected to cut Johnson before next week and that could come as soon as within the next 24 hours.

When he’s released, it’s expected that Johnson won’t last long on the open market. The New York Jets have been watching his situation very closely and are ready to ‘pounce’ on him when he’s cut.
He first needs to actually be cut and while the current report is that will happen in the next 24 hours, after all the stringing along that has occurred we’ll believe it when we see it.
