There has been a lot made about the Milwaukee Bucks and the attempt by current owner Herb Kohl to sell the team to a new ownership group. Not a whole lot of movement has been made but it appears things have changed and the Bucks could be moving to a different owner.

What fans are wondering is, does a move to a new owner mean a move out of Milwaukee? According to Bill Simmons, the Bucks are very close to being sold but not to an investor who will take them to Seattle.

Every team that goes up for sale is now going to be linked to Seattle and for good reason. It’s been years since the SuperSonics have been in Seattle and the city is hungry to get them back. They nearly brought the Sacramento Kings to town but the deal was nixed at the last minute.

As fans in Seattle will tell you, never believe the first intentions of a new owner, as he could be feeding you a line of crap. Clay Bennett was adamant that the team wasn’t moving, all the while signing relocation papers to Oklahoma City.

There’s no saying anything shady or shifty like that is afoot, but new ownership is always an unsettling thing to fans.
