Miami Police Department confirms 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for an ‘incident’

Earlier on Thursday, TMZ Sports issued a report in which they claimed that San Francisco 49ers star QB Colin Kapeernick is currently under investigation for an alleged sexual assault that took place earlier this month at a Miami hotel.

Now, this news has been validated as the Miami Police Department themselves have now confirmed that they’re looking into the alleged incident.


Kaepernick is currently set to enter his fourth year in the league, and has been one of the more successful signal callers in NFL history in the beginning of his career. He’s led the team to two consecutive NFC Championship Game appearances, and one appearance in the Super Bowl.

But, for right now, there is a chance this his immediate NFL future could be in jeopardy, depending on what is discovered during this investigation, which should be remembered is only in the beginning stages.
