Ball State quarterback Keith Wenning is not talked about like the top signal-callers in the draft, but it appears that he is on a number of team’s radars. According to NFL draft insider Tony Pauline,  Wenning “is drawing a good amount of interest from teams” around the league.

Pauline says Wenning has worked out for the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, St Louis Rams and New England Patriots.

He has also had a private workout with the Cleveland Browns.

With this amount of interest, it seems like Wenning should be a late-round pick for one of the teams looking to add a developmental quarterback.

Wenning is unlikely to blossom into a starting caliber quarterback, but he has enough talent to earn a career as a backup and that is nothing to scoff at. Just ask Jim Sorgi.
