Keyshawn Johnson arrested for domestic violence

Former NFL players have been making their way into the headlines over recent weeks for a variety of legal issues. We’ve seen Darren Sharper and Donovan McNabb find themselves in hot water, though Sharper’s case is much more severe, and now former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is in the mix.

According to a report from TMZ.com, Johnson was arrested at his home in Calabasas, Calif. early Monday morning. He was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery.

Johnson reportedly got into a dispute with his ex-girlfriend and the fight turned physical. Johnson broke his ex’s phone and caused a gash to her hand.

Bail was set for Johnson at $20,000. He has since posted bail and has been released.
