Touchdown Seahawks. That is still a phrase that causes pain for fans of the Green Bay Packers, but the Packers and their fans will get an early shot at redemption in 2014 according to multiple media reports. According to the NFL schedule leaks, the Packers will open the season on the road against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel passed along the report.

This will be the first game of the regular season if the report proves to be true, with the game taking place on Thursday night before the opening weekend.

If you recall correctly, the Packers beat the Seahawks on a controversial touchdown call when the NFL referees were on lockout and that is a loss that continues to sting the Packers fan base to this day.

The full 2014-15 regular season schedule will be released at 8 p.m. ET tonight and FanSided.com will have full team-by-team coverage.
