NFL Draft Rumors: Lions host Bradley Roby, Erik Lora & Dri Archer

With the 2014 NFL Draft now under two weeks away, it is crunch time as far as evaluating prospects and narrowing down which you covet at your spot in the draft (or another spot you may trade into).

The Detroit Lions, doing some of their final research, hosted three more prospects on Friday.

According to Tim Twentyman of, the Lions hosted former Ohio State Buckeyes’ cornerback Bradley Roby, former Eastern Illinois Panthers’ wide receiver Erik Lora, and former Kent State Golden Flashes’ running back Dri Archer.

A playmaker at Ohio State, Roby scored touchdowns on a blocked punt against Northwestern and a 63-yard interception return vs. Illinois.

He had 44 career passes defended (eight interceptions and 36 pass break ups) and ranks third in school history with 226 interception return yards.

“I just want to have an impact on the game to make sure we win,” Roby said. “If it’s special teams, I blocked three punts at Ohio State. If its offense, defense or special teams, I make plays wherever I’m at.”

Lora made 123 receptions for 1,544 yards and 19 touchdowns last season.

Archer fought through injuries in 2013 to rush for 527 yards and six touchdowns on 68 carries.
