Following a poor showing at his Pro Day, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who was once considered the top signal-caller in the 2014 NFL draft class, began to plummet down draft boards. It seemed that there was still some hope Bridgewater could land at the bottom of Round 1, but it appears that he slide all the way to Day 2 on Friday.

Lance Zierlein of the Sideline View and Sports Talk 790 in Houston has been sticking to his guns when it comes to Bridgewater and has believed the quarterback will still go in the top 32 picks, but he has come to the realization that the talk of Bridgewater sliding to Day 2 is very real.

“I said Teddy Bridgewater wouldn’t fall out of the 1st round. The more I gather info, the more I believe I will be wrong,” Zierlein wrote on Twitter. “Sorry Teddy fans.”

If Bridgewater does fall out of the first round, there will be plenty of interest in his services when Day 2 begins.

Bridgewater would undoubtedly be one of the best players remaining and the teams who took a risk in Round 1 by passing on a quarterback could have their gamble pay off in a very big way.
