The NFL Draft’s second day is just getting underway and already we have at race within the first five picks of the draft for a second straight night. While it was not major trade up like the Bills moving from No. 9 overall to No. 4 overall, the Dallas Cowboys wasted no time in moving up the second round draft board and swapped spots with the strangest of bedfellows — the Washington Redskins.

In trading up, the Cowboys sacrificed the No. 78 pick in the draft and the Redskins moved down to put off making a selection even longer than we thought we’d have to wait to hear their name called at the podium.

Dallas ended up selecting Demarcus Lawrence to help fill out some defensive needs and give the Cowboys an edge rushing presence they lost over the offseason in DeMarcus Ware and didn’t see at all last season.
