The Cincinnati Bengals stepped up and took Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron ending his draft day slide. McCarron was reportedly rubbing league executives the wrong way in some fashion and that contributed to his slide. Nevertheless, McCarron is a Bengal and says he can’t wait to learn from starter Andy Dalton.

For Dalton’s part, he welcomed McCarron to the Bengals. Of course offensive coordinator Hue Jackson came out and said Dalton is the Bengals’ quarterback and McCarron won’t be taking reps from him, so that has to make it a little easier to welcome McCarron.
