The Chicago Bears weren’t one of the teams we have been following as being interested in drafting a quarterback, but we saw them take one anyways. As we got deeper into the sixth round and the quarterbacks started to come off the board, the Bears went ahead and selected David Fales from San Jose State.

There was a lot of late hype around Fales as the draftniks got hot and bothered for a few moments about some of his skills, but that ultimately led to Fales being a sixth round selection.

Someone who stayed hot and bothered for Fales ended up being the Chicago Bears who now have a project for Marc Trestman to work on and a potentially solid backup quarterback for Jay Cutler moving forward.
