The New York Giants needed to find some help on offense and they addressed that need in the first round by drafting Odell Beckham from LSU with the No. 12 overall pick in the draft. But the offensive bolstering didn’t end there as the Giants used the 113th pick in the draft to take Heisman Trophy finalist and Boston College stud running back Andre Williams.

As Mike Mayock pointed ou in the NFL Network coverage of the draft, Williams is an eclectic off-the-field guy and is so in the best of ways. He’s a poet, a volunteer and an overall incredibly intelligent guy. But on the field he gobbles up carries and will be a player that the Giants will almost certainly be able to start day 1 in some capacity in the backfield.

His career at Boston College was incredible and ended with a slew of awards and nominations for his work and now the Giants have him in their backfield to mold into someone that can make Eli Manning’s life that much easier.
