As is the case every year, once the draft comes to an end, there are many players still looking for a home. Usually, those undrafted players quickly sign with a team and get ready to go to work. Often times it is better for a player to go undrafted instead of getting picked in the final round. Players can assess their situation and see if a team has a need at their position or has shown a lot of interest in them. In some cases, players simply choose to stay closer to home.

According to Adam Caplan of ESPN’s NFL Insiders, the San Diego Chargers have agreed to a deal with former Auburn Tigers’ cornerback Chris Davis.

Davis is, of course, an Auburn hero and college football legend after returning a missed field goal to defeat the arch-rival and at that time top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide.

In 2013, Davis made 17 tackles and averaged 18.7 yards per punt return while returning one for a touchdown.
