Just a few weeks go, it seem inevitable that the New York Knicks would be hiring current TNT analyst Steve Kerr to replace Mike Woodson as head coach. However, after the Golden State Warriors fired Mark Jackson and that job became available, the Knicks had another legitimate contender for Kerr’s services.

On Wednesday, Kerr made his decision to become the Warriors’ head coach, choosing the talent roster in the loaded west over his former coach Phil Jackson and the uncertain future of Carmelo Anthony.

After the hire, fans and analysts took to twitter to share their reactions.
