The Brooklyn Nets were bounced in the postseason by the Miami Heat, and they must now look to an offseason that may contain a fair amount of change. From the uncertainty surrounding Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, to the absolute bind the team is in when it comes to how much money they have to spend, this offseason doesn’t need anymore headaches than it already has.

But what would a Nets offseason be without Deron Williams drama and the latest rumors are that the team is trying to trade him to get rid of his massive cap figure. While that may be true, according to the Brooklyn Game’s Devin Kharpertian that Williams has not requested a trade so any such talk won’t be coming from him.

Williams and the Nets have had an interesting relationship but it’s one that they’ve seemingly been able to work out in the past. But he’s been benched, he’s been the scapegoat and everything in between since coming to Brooklyn and there seems to be cracks starting to make the Nets even more unstable and those will need to be filled.

Whether or not that means trading Williams is up for debate, but up to this point there has been no trade request from the point guard — not that such a ting can’t change.
