It’s certainly been an interesting week for Memphis Grizzlies owner Robert Pera. There have been the many reports of issues between him and head coach Dave Joerger, followed up by his spontaneous Q & A session with fans on Twitter and then the revealing article written by Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.

Now today, Pera is responding to Mannix’s article, complaining that Mannix lacks journalistic integrity and just recently inviting him to discuss their discrepancies on Twitter.

Mannix then responded responsibly, telling Pera to give him a call.

Pera’s not interested in waiting, however, telling Mannix he would rather do this over Twitter.

YES! I’ve seen an NBA owner use the #FactsOnly hashtag on Twitter so I’m pretty sure I can die in peace now. But seriously, this is getting kind of ridiculous. Pera is only hurting his reputation–which has already taken plenty of hits recently.

Now all that’s left is for Pera to challenge Mannix to a one-on-one game to settle the dispute once and for all.
