Chicago Cubs unveil renderings for Wrigley Field renovation
The historic Major League Baseball venue that is Chicago’s Wrigley Field is set to undergo a massive renovation, and the team has released a first set of renderings for the planned update to the 100-year-old stadium.

Anytime a place filled with as much sentimental attachment as Wrigley is to be changed, there are always fears of losing traditional appeal, but the renderings here show that the slick, modern feel of these updates still maintains the integrity of an old-time ballpark.
ChicagoBusisness.com’s Danny Ecker tweeted out some images of the renderings.

There is also a plan for a new clubhouse layout.
And some updated bleachers in right field, with the bullpen below the stands.
It looks like the Cubs have a beautiful renovation of one of the best baseball venues in the league on the way. If more teams would move towards making their ballparks more fan accessible and baseball friendly, rather than relying on glitz and glitter to sell their product, all of baseball would be better off.
