It was looking like the San Antonio Spurs were going to cruise to a series sweep of Oklahoma City Thunder until they ran into a brick wall that no one saw in the third and fourth games of the series. Now that the series is deadlocked at 2-2 heading into a crucial Game 5, the Spurs are considering what changes they can make to ensure another loss doesn’t happen.

According to Spurs beat writer Dan McCarney, Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is considering a lineup change to mix things up for his team in Game 5.

This doesn’t mean that a lineup change will for sure happen, but it shows that the Spurs are at a bit of a loss as to how they allowed this series to slip away from them so quickly. Perhaps it’s the aspect of home court advantage, as we saw that play a significant factor in the Easter Conference Finals last year when the Heat and Pacers traded blows for seven full games.

It appears that may be where we are headed as the the Spurs need to figure something out or risk losing this series in the most embarrassing way possible. All is not lost for the Spurs, but if a lineup change is needed, it had better be a good one as San Antonio has been flatter than flat these past two games and are showing no life whatsoever.
