The NBA Finals are just around the corner and while the Miami Heat are already there for a fourth straight year, things aren’t as clear in the Western Conference. The San Antonio Spurs want to get back and seek revenge on the Heat for  beating them last season but the Oklahoma City Thunder also want revenge for getting beat in 2012 by the Heat when Miami won their first title.

Right now though, the two teams are focusing on each other as only one can emerge to challenge the Heat once again. So far, the games have been brutal blowouts  with that margins of victory have been ridiculous and we’re seeing why in Game 6 on Saturday night.

Tim Duncan took an opportunity to posterize Steven Adams early on the game and Spurs fans everywhere loved it.

All of the games in this series have been physical but they’ve all featured some intense offensive explosions, from both sides which has led to the series really not being all that exciting. To be honest, the Western Conference Finals have been full of games you just flip through rather than actually watch and that has everything to so with the dominant offenses we’ve seen.

So when we get a situation when something exciting actually happens, then it’s notable, especially in this series.

That’s not to say it will lead to more exciting things, but it’s nice to see that while blowing each other out, these teams can at least be entertaining to watch at times rather than snoozefests we’d rather just see highlights of.
