Former Miami Dolphins star Dan Marino suing NFL over concussions
By Josh Hill
The NFL is in the middle of battle the concussion issue that has plagued it’s league for so many years and the list of players coming out of the woodwork to sue the league continues to grow by the minute it seems. Where it was once a huge deal to file a lawsuit against the league, it seems a new group of players band together each week to file suit for the punishment they took over their careers.

We can now add Hall of Famer Dan Marino to the list as he’s reportedly filed suit against the league along with 14 other former players from or around his time in the league during hte 1980s and through the 1990s.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Marino is filing suit against the NFL over the ongoing battle with concussion awareness, restitution and wrong doing that has been going on since before Marino’s time in the league.
"Dan Marino, the Hall of Fame member and former Miami Dolphins quarterback, last week sued the NFL over concussions, according to federal court records. As the behind-the-scenes effort to gain approval for the proposed $765-million settlement of the concussion litigation continues, Marino and 14 other former players sued in U.S. District Court in Philadelphia."
Marino joining the concussion fight is another blow to whatever swagger the NFL think sit has by trying to sweep the issue under the rug. The problem though is that we hear about people joining the fight all the time but not much else. It’s great to have guys like Marino behind the fight to right what was wrong in the past, but we need to see more than famous faces called to arms, we need progress and that’s not happening fast enough.
