NFL Rumors: Sean Lee could return to Dallas Cowboys this season
By Josh Hill
The Dallas Cowboys were dealt some crushing news earlier this offseason when they lost linebacker Sean Lee to a torn ACL, and that news is making the rounds once again with word that the Cowboys fallen star will have surgery on Thursday to repair the damage done.

Losing Lee for the season is the worst possible way for the Cowboys to begin their 2014 campaign as they’re lready starting from behind in a season where they need to show they’re not just an utter failure as a football team. It’s tough to get excited about the Cowboys though when the first semi-good news of the year is that your star defensive player’s surgery is expected to be successful. There’s good new to be had though as head caoch Jason Garrett noted that Lee could return at some point during the season.
"Coach Jason Garrett said he anticipates the surgery to be done by the Cowboys’ medical staff and would not close the door on Lee returning later in the season.“We’ll see what the surgery indicates and we’ll make our decisions from there,” Garrett said."
At the rate in which players recover form ACL injuries these days, it’s not that crazy to believe that Lee could return near the end of the season. What is crazy to believe is that the Cowboys will have meaningful games at the end of the season in which Lee would be helpful to them.
