They continued that roll on Tuesday when 3-stat tight end Farrod Green gave his pledge to the Bulldogs. The 6’4, 223-pounder who attends the Wesson Attendance Center in Wesson, Mississippi camped with the Bulldogs over the weekend and was given an offer on Tuesday.
“Coach (Dan) Mullen told me this morning that I got the offer and I was really excited,” said Green via Paul Jones of 24/7 Sports. “I had an idea it was coming and I knew then that I was going to commit pretty soon. I talked it over with my family and then I called Coach Mullen about 30 minutes ago and he welcomed me to the family.”
Green is happy to have the process over with.
“It is just a dream come true and I am thanking God,” said Green. “I had a good feeling the offer was coming because I felt I worked hard for it and that I earned it.
“I always have fun up here. It is a good family environment and I like the coaches here and their players, too. Plus, this is my home state and I like that part, too.”
Green is ranked as a wide receiver, but projects as a tight end by the Bulldogs. He is the country’s 167th-ranked wide receiver prospect, the 32nd-best overall prospect from the state of Mississippi and the 1,422nd-best overall prospect in the class of 2015, according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.
